Engineering innovations must be explored, evaluated, and eventually realized using effective tools and techniques from strategic thinking and creativity.

The goal of engineers and engineering firms alike is to make significant advancements. It takes a mix of abilities, techniques, and realistic approaches to both innovation and strategy to produce more than just incremental changes. Overall, this learning route helps us discover, prioritize and achieve engineering breakthroughs more effectively and quickly by offering a wide range of useful tools, in-demand skills, and specific techniques. It demystifies the approach to strategic thinking and innovation.

Human Energy Harvesting

People can boost their energy levels through regular grooming, diet, discipline, exercise, and positive thinking. Similarly, we can create intelligent machines that live like humans and understand what is good, what is bad, what is useful and what is not. However, they indifferent as compared to humans, and are devoid of instability and ignorance. Machines of the future should be designed to understand what is good and what is bad for them, and act in a manner that is desirable. However, in the case of humans, even if we know that something is bad for our lives and health, we sometimes ignore it just because of our emotions and do bad things. With machines, we can expect this ignorance to disappear and get things done with great precision. But what if we, humans, acted with sufficient integrity and with sufficient awareness in all our activities? Sometimes we do what the heart tells us to do, not judging the usefulness of the event. That’s emotions. Emotions cannot be transferred to machines, but emotions are always present in humans. When we lose our ability to feel, we can become robots, however, that is a different perspective where a human and machine becomes ‘one’. So, if we could somehow integrate emotions into machines, it would be a huge advance for human invention. Until then we can always strive to become our best in every aspect of life.

Overcoming Technological Failures

Many organizations are hesitant to implement new technology or update their current system since doing so necessitates fundamental adjustments that take a lot of time and money. Failures during implementation can and do occur at any time. The same can be said for mechanical engineering and the advancements it provides in technology.

It has been noted that fear frequently passes for logic. If the aforementioned “logic” had been applied elsewhere, it would imply that no organization should ever make an effort to improve.

Any plan has a chance of failing so what is the trick to get things done? They are summarized as follows:

  1. Possessing a clear vision
There are many possibilities available when choosing the ideal one for developing a special product, but the ‘need’ should come first, not their capabilities.
  1. Choosing the appropriate option
There are some technologies that offer temporary solutions but fail in the long run. Strategies and policies must focus on solutions that deliver long-term benefits.
  1. Providing Technical Guidance and Training
Behind every strategy is an efficient strategist that play the crucial role for the management of resources. The benefit of expert training is immense.
  1. An expert’s opinion
A common root cause for failure is the lack of experience, both technical and management. Expert advice and participation can bridge the gap of knowledge and experience.
